Codex and Claude Code differ mainly in who makes them — one OpenAI, one Anthropic. The way you use them is nearly identical. The rules file changes from `claude.md` to `agents.md`, the tokens run a little cheaper, one handles long debugging a little better — that's the spread. The harness-engineering concept carries over unchanged. So there's no reason to be loyal to one tool; pick whichever fits the day.
