These six are the parts that make up Claude Code as an operating system. **CLAUDE.md** holds a folder's rules and memory; **Skills** are reusable work routines; **MCP** is the hand that reaches the outside world; **Sub-agents** are the clones you hand work to; **Hooks** fire on set moments; **Plugins** bundle and ship all of it. The point isn't memorizing each feature — it's that all six are just text files.
