That sentence took me a while to accept. *"How is something I didn't do my fault?"* Then I became a tech lead at Meta and the picture filled in. One: if I'd guided better, the mistake wouldn't have happened. Two: one extra review pass on my end would have caught it. Three: a better team environment would have made the same person less likely to slip. Four: if you're the leader, every problem inside the team is your problem to solve. **The moment you blame someone else, your growth stops.** A real leader owns the problem and fixes it.
